Delightfully Endearing Read

This was an absolutely adorable story. Parker, recently widowed when his husband was killed in a motorcycle accident, hires nanny, Jake, to help care for his son, Nate. As the three individuals grow closer, Parker and Jake develop feelings for one another. However, Parker feels like he's somehow betraying the memory of his deceased husband, Darren, by pursuing anything with Jake.
I found all three of the main characters in this story delightful. Jake was the perfect tall, dark and handsome hero who swoops and and helps a broken family finally heal and move forward. Nate brought a smile to my face and was very cute.
A Nanny for Nate was a quick read that definitely left me with warm and fuzzy feelings. :)

If you like a good Manny story....Read this!!

When I first saw that this book had been re-released I was certain that even if I hadn't read it, I surely must own it. After checking my Archived items and even My Orders I was forced to concede that maybe I really hadn't ever purchased it. Why not? It was certainly right up my alley-----a Manny coming to the rescue of a harried Dad. Said Dad finds the Manny very attractive but fights and denies his feelings. Child(ren ) blossom under his care. Then the Big Conflict!! What the conflict is and how it is resolved is the basis of each of these stories. Yeah I get it...so why hadn't I bought it?
I don't know!! But I've rectified that oversight. I made a point of buying it for real this time. And it was worth all my head scratching.
The characters draw you into the story. They have you rooting for them, yelling at them, being made privy to their secrets. You know/hope there is a HEA coming but what route would it take? Then to complicate things even further you have a grieving father who hasn't moved past the angry stage. Who's suffering from survivor's guilt. Who isn't willing to let go....even though his head and heart are telling him two different things. And then there his adorable & sullen son, who misses his Daddy too.
If you like your Nannies to be Mannies then you're sure to enjoy this story.

Enjoyable reading

if you have loved once and lost that love, you might think that it was all the fate had in store for you. Some even feel the survivor guilt and will not allow themselves to hope for a new chance. But sometimes the Fate insists on you taking that chance. Or is it your son playing the role of Fate? Parker is a widower who needs a live-in nanny. The choice falls on Jake - obviously a very good choice, too. He fills the void in Parker's and Nate's lives and finds the love of his life at the same time. I was just questioning why Parker continued to use his old wedding ring 4 months into the new relationship (it is said he took it from his finger before burying it on the grave). In my mind it is a bit offensive towards Jake.
