It's the fruit that determines whether or not you are a good source, or a bad source of food

This is one of the most important books that every Christian should aim to read at least once in their life.
Kenneth Hagin takes the stages of spiritual development apart to demonstrate that although gifts and the use of spiritual gifts is important for the healthy growth of the church, as a whole. It is in fact, more important that we grow to maturity as Christians.
It has absolutely nothing to do with becoming more 'religious'. The fact being that many of those who appear to be "Holy Joes" are often the most immature in the bunch. Remember, people don't usually go for the leaves on a tree. It's the fruit that they are more often looking for. It's the fruit that they can consume. It's the fruit that determines whether or not you are a good source, or a bad source of food.
Likewise, in the life of Christians, we need to develop the fruit of the spirit as described Galatians 5:22-23
This book is essential reading for those who wish to develop in their spiritual walk with Christ, to become more Christ-like to the world around them.

One of the most helpful books I read.

I read this book over 30 years ago and when I finished it I wondered if I personally knew a mature christian :-). Thirty years later I just scanned the titles, sub titles, scriptures, and some of the stories and found it challenging my spiritual growth today. Would love to get a group together in the small town I live, and do a Bible study for a few weeks on it. It will help to lay a strong foundation in our lives to face the challenges ahead.

Is What I Anticipated and More

This book was recommended as a foundational piece while waiting to go to Bible Training. It brought to light all my recent revelations in regards to what I did not know and what I lacked in my Christian experience and how I had been taught in the past.
