One of the best books on creativity

This book covers every aspect of the creativity process, from problem finding to idea generation to implementation. Osborn is known as the creator of the brainstorming technique but I believe his legacy is greater than that. Recent books on creativity have been critical about brainstorming by saying by itself brainstorming is not sufficient. I was surprised, therefore, to discover that Osborn himself saw brainstorming as just one of many complementary techniques.
In Applied Imagination (one of his many works) Osborn spells out clearly the various ways in which one can achieve creative outcomes. He provides a large number of examples. The language is clear, direct and tight, making it easy to understand both concept and example. This book should be required reading for anyone wishing to understand and apply the creative process.
