One of the best I've read

Ever had a book that gave you a huge "Aha!" moment? This was one of those for me. I work in a small nonprofit and we have struggled for years with the inconsistencies between our services and our mission. In addition, as we began to measure our outcomes, we realized how unfocused we are. David Hunter's book was just the prescription we needed. It explains clearly the relationship between mission, audience, programs/services, outcomes, outputs, etc. It provides practical instruction and examples to help you identify where dis-alignment exists and work to straighten it up. Then it goes a step further by explaining how to keep that alignment in place and keep inching closer to higher impact by integrating data reviews and program improvements into the organization. Don't get me wrong, this won't be easy and will be a commitment and culture change for us, but I am so thankful we now have a roadmap to fix ourselves instead of stumbling along on our own.

Hardly accepted truth

People can hardly accept that working hard is necessary for long term and lasting success. This book clarified some of my weaknesses and I'm on it now. To get rid of them.
