I was heavily inspired by the adventure/thriller books of the 60's and 70's, including The Destroyer and The Executioner books, but I was profoundly influenced by Elmore Leonard.
About the Author
Kevin Lee Swaim studied creative writing with David Foster Wallace at Illinois State University.
He's currently the Subject Matter Expert for Intrusion Prevention Systems for a Fortune 50 insurance company located in the Midwest. He holds the CISSP certification from ISC2.
When he's not writing, he's busy repairing guitars for the working bands of Central Illinois.

Good characters... Lots of action... not overly techie... Rollins fans will love it

This is a solid book for a new author... I read it on vacation and it was hard to put down. I read it back to back with Eye of God - (Rollins) and I'm sure that anyone that likes the genre will be love this book and will be looking forward to the second in the series. The characters are solid, you end up caring about what happens to the key players... Geeky enough to be fantastic, but grounded in possibility.

Great story, fine characters, nice pace.

I really enjoyed Project Strikeforce. It felt a bit slow right in the beginning but really picked up. The action scenes were great, making me feel like I was observing the events rather than reading about them. The technology used on John sounds like its just around the corner, and wasn't at all unbelievable. My only complaint concerns the time scale, as it's not always obvious how much time has passed between events. I am definately looking forward to any sequels the author has planned.

Excellent Read!

The very first scene draws you in. I am not a sci-fi reader/movie watcher, however, the technology was not totally unbelievable so it intrigued me rather than alienating me. The opening scene... a bomber watching the Red Cross building. WOW. I read this in two sittings, as it was that interesting. This is not just a read for action, sci-fi, or men... as a woman, I quite enjoyed it as well. It was well formatted, contained little to no grammatical errors, and the characters were well developed---each having different speech and attitudes. I hope to read more from Mr. Swaim! Thank you, sir, for giving us some great entertainment.
